ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Manufacturing Design Engineer (FreeCAD) — Scientific & Engineering AI — Generative AI Domain Expert at $40 - $100/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in FreeCAD, Parametric CAD modeling, Mechanical Design, 3D CAD Modeling into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, concise technical documentation and assembly instructions as reference materials for AI model training.
• Incorporate feedback from technical reviewers to revise and improve CAD models and supporting documents.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in FreeCAD, Parametric CAD modeling, Mechanical Design, 3D CAD Modeling, Assembly Design, Engineering Drawings.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.
• Create and modify detailed parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies using FreeCAD or comparable software.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity in documentation and collaborative exchanges.
• Compensation Band: $40 - $100/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)

• 2+ years’ experience designing mechanical components for manufacturing environments.
