ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Member of Legal Staff, Corporate Counsel — AI Infrastructure & Operations — Generative AI Domain Expert at $345,000 - $370,000/year. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in Venture Financings, Corporate Governance, Equity Administration, Transaction Execution into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer cap tables, equity plans, and equity grants, including grants, exercises, transfers, cancellations, and reconciliation of equity records.
• Independently draft and manage routine corporate and legal documents, exercising judgment around when to escalate or involve outside counsel.
• Design AI-enabled legal intake and triage workflows, particularly for a highly asynchronous and Slack-driven environment.
• Build self-service tools, templates, playbooks, and automation for recurring legal processes such as NDAs, approvals, and signature requests.
• Identify repetitive legal work and develop systems that make the legal function faster, more accurate, and more scalable.
• Significant experience supporting venture capital financings, M&A, or similar corporate transactions, with strong knowledge of transaction documents, approvals, and closing processes.
• Strong experience with corporate governance, entity management, state filings, cap tables, and equity administration.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Experience supporting venture-backed or high-growth technology companies.
• Hands-on experience building workflows with AI tools, automation platforms, Slack integrations, or contract management systems.
• Experience improving or scaling legal processes through technology and automation.

• The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $215,000 –$240,000. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. our AI research partner provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with a company match, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.
