ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Domain Researcher, Legal — AI Infrastructure & Operations — Generative AI Domain Expert at $400,000 - $800,000/year. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in Legal Research, Enterprise AI, Benchmarking, Agentic Legal Workflows into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze model performance, reasoning quality, and failure modes across legal use cases.
• Publish internal research findings, best practices, and evaluation methodologies.
• Stay current with developments in legal technology, jurisprudence, regulatory environments, and AI research.
• Help establish industry-leading standards for legal AI evaluation and benchmarking.
• Advanced degree in Law (JD, LLM, SJD, PhD in Law, or equivalent).
• Deep expertise in one or more legal domains, including corporate law, contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, or public policy.
• Demonstrated experience conducting legal research, analysis, or policy work.

• The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $200,000 –$250,000.
