ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Senior FreeCAD Engineer — AI Code & Systems Evaluation — Generative AI Domain Expert at $40 - $100/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in FreeCAD, Parametric CAD Modeling, Python Scripting, Mechanical Engineering into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough engineering QA reviews of CAD models and drawings to identify, communicate, and help resolve issues.
• Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation tasks, streamlining repetitive or complex modeling operations (highly preferred, not mandatory).
• Collaborate by providing insightful feedback on model accuracy, design intent, and process improvements.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in FreeCAD, Parametric CAD Modeling, Python Scripting, Mechanical Engineering, GD&T, Design for Manyfacturing (DFM).
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to specified project requirements.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Experience conducting engineering QA and verifying model integrity and compliance with specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills relevant to remote, project-based collaboration.
• Compensation Band: $40 - $100/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)
