Online Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) — Generative AI Domain Expert

ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) — Generative AI Domain Expert at $50 - $70/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in ICD-10, CCS, Inpatient Records, CPT into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in diagnosis and procedure coding, ensuring the integrity of record abstraction and data capture.
• Enter model-generated patient information into computerized inpatient and outpatient medical record databases.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in ICD-10, CCS, Inpatient Records, CPT.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Review and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding in alignment with current guidelines and best practices.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Availability of at least 10 hours per week
• Compensation Band: $50 - $70/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)
• Available Openings: 50 open positions
• Core Competencies: ICD-10, CCS, Inpatient Records, CPT
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.
• Active certification in one of the following: CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT or other coding certification through AHIMA and AAPC.

• Compensation Rate: $50 - $70/hour (contract specialist remuneration)
