ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Software Engineer, New Grad — AI Infrastructure & Operations — Generative AI Domain Expert at $180,000 - $250,000/year. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in React, Node.js, AWS, PostgreSQL into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, operations, and design teams to translate ideas into reliable, production-ready features.
• Improve engineering quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Help troubleshoot production issues while learning how to build resilient, observable systems.
• Develop sound engineering judgment by making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (recent graduate or graduating soon).
• Internship, co-op, research, or meaningful personal/project experience building software applications.
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Working knowledge of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, or DevOps fundamentals.
• Exposure to modern architectures such as microservices, serverless, or event-driven systems.
• Interest in AI-powered products, workflow automation, or data-intensive applications.
• Experience contributing to team projects, hackathons, open-source software, or startup environments.

• The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $110,000 –$150,000 USD. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. our AI research partner provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with a company match, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.
