Online Senior NDT Inspector (Level II/III) — Scientific & Engineering AI — Generative AI Domain Expert

ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Senior NDT Inspector (Level II/III) — Scientific & Engineering AI — Generative AI Domain Expert at $70 - $110/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in Radiographic Testing (RT) Interpretation, Ultrasonic Testing (UT/PAUT), MT/PT Indication Evaluation, ASME Section V & API 510/653 into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Produce clear, concise, and technically accurate reports that document findings, rationale, and recommended actions.
• Collaborate asynchronously with technical peers to resolve complex or ambiguous indications, enhancing overall project accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project protocols based on industry best practices and evolving compliance criteria.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in Radiographic Testing (RT) Interpretation, Ultrasonic Testing (UT/PAUT), MT/PT Indication Evaluation, ASME Section V & API 510/653, Weld Defect Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Demonstrated ability to conduct objective, quality-focused work independently in a remote setting.
• Experience evaluating thermography or RVI data is a plus.
• Compensation Band: $70 - $110/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)
• Available Openings: 30 open positions

• Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II/III certification in relevant methods (RT, UT/PAUT, MT, PT).

• Compensation Rate: $70 - $110/hour (contract specialist remuneration)
