ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Senior Field Service Technician — Scientific & Engineering AI — Generative AI Domain Expert at $60 - $110/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in Electrical Schematic Reading, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Diagrams, PLC & Industrial Controls Troubleshooting, HVAC/Elevator/Heavy Equipment Service into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate compliance with relevant US codes (NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1, OSHA) and highlight code-specific requirements based on real project scenarios.
• Communicate technical concepts and diagnostic reasoning effectively in written and verbal form for diverse audiences.
• Provide expert commentary on practical maintenance, service, and repair strategies based on extensive field experience.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in Electrical Schematic Reading, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Diagrams, PLC & Industrial Controls Troubleshooting, HVAC/Elevator/Heavy Equipment Service, Equipment Fault Diagnosis.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Demonstrated capacity to analyze technical information and craft expert-level insights.
• Previous experience authoring technical service reports or instructions is a plus.
• Compensation Band: $60 - $110/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)
• Available Openings: 20 open positions

• 8+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience in industrial, HVAC, elevator, hydraulic, heavy vehicle, marine, rail, utility, or telecom equipment.
