ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Military Writing Specialist — AI Model Training & Evaluation — Generative AI Domain Expert at $40 - $80/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in military writing, federal documentation standards, report generation and evaluation, grading rubric development into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Share context on stylistic differences and individual approaches to common military documents (e.g., WARs, SITREPs, AARs, executive summaries).
• Produce supporting documents such as decision briefs, memoranda, and action officer updates when required.
• Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure diversity of reporting styles and adherence to branch-specific terminology.
• Demonstrated professional or academic background in military writing, federal documentation standards, report generation and evaluation, grading rubric development, written and verbal communication, department of defense procedures.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.

Skills & Experience Needed

• US-based contributor with broad familiarity with federal documentation standards and compliance best practices.
• Comfortable collaborating remotely and sharing insights on nuanced, highly procedural reporting tasks.
• Compensation Band: $40 - $80/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)

• Former U.S. Department of War (Department of Defense) professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
