ActiveHired is expanding its remote specialist bench with a Online Veterans Service Officer — AI Model Training & Evaluation — Generative AI Domain Expert at $40 - $60/hour. Contributors work asynchronously from home across major English-speaking countries, translating real-world workflows in Claims, Accreditation, Compensation, Survivors into high-signal training examples and multi-step evaluation criteria for enterprise AI models.

Primary Responsibilities

• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.
• Current VA accreditation (VSO representative, County Veterans Service Officer, accredited claims agent, or similar)
• 1+ years preparing and filing VA claims for veterans or their families
• Working knowledge of disability compensation, dependents and survivor benefits, and appeals
• Review sample veterans benefits questions and flag any that don’t sound like what real veterans or family members ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on service-connected disability compensation, including filing a claim and the evidence involved.
• Cover dependents and survivor benefits (such as DIC and CHAMPVA) and appeals and decision reviews in your rubrics.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Compensation Band: $40 - $60/hour
• Work Location: Remote (100% Remote / Asynchronous Flexibility)
• Available Openings: 10 open positions

• Able to start quickly and commit 20-30 hours/week
• Clear, precise writing
• Practical background using military records such as the DD-214
